Select a Design
Every design on this site is the exact same HTML. The words, the links and the shape of every page never change; only the stylesheet does. Pick one below and the whole site, every post and every page, gets dressed in it. This browser remembers your pick until you choose another, and you can switch any time from the Design menu.
It's my tribute to Dave Shea's CSS Zen Garden, which back in 2003 showed a whole generation of web designers, me included, what CSS could really do: one plain page of HTML, restyled hundreds of times by designers around the world. Same idea here, just with more rants.
I'll keep adding designs for the fun of it.

A photocopied punk zine: hazard yellow, ransom-note letters, tape and posters slapped on a wall.

Windows 95
The whole site as a 1995 desktop: teal, a Start menu, and windows you can minimize, maximize, close and drag.
