Birthday Trail
A custom birthday piece for a mountain biker: a rider in silhouette, a trail marker and a topo line that ends at the X.
Kathleen rides. So the art puts a rider on the ridge with pines and peaks behind, a wooden “Birthday Trail” sign pointing the way, and a dotted route across the topo lines to an X marking the spot.
Silhouette art like this is drawn to engrave and cut cleanly, so the same design can end up on paper, wood or slate.

About the picture: that's the design itself, not a photo of the finished piece.

Photographs and fine artwork engrave on slate in surprising detail.
Spalted Maple & Leather Pet Urn
Small details, kept quiet, so the piece stays timeless.
Don't see it? That's normal. Most of what we make started as somebody's idea.
