Hi Kurt,

It very much still could be memory.. Blizzard uses a form of memory mapping which relies on windows to directly map the items in memory (and on the graphics card) to the disk. That means if there is ANY disconnect in there your disk can get corrupted causing the 134. And memory tests may not show this..

I know all my memory was coming out as being 100% fine, yet I still got a couple 134s until I replaced one of the sticks.. Even though that stick registered as perfect via the memtests that blizzard sent me it was still one of the issues.

At this point I play the game on 2 gigs of brand new memory, on a GTX285, with a solid state drive. I haven't had a single error since going to this setup.

Ultimately removing the spinning platter (the hard drive) from the mix removed my issue completely.

Good luck Kurt, don't let this get ya down..

I'm having #134 errors as I started playing wow again afer a 2 month break, I never had these problems before and I am playing on the exact same machine, same windows install - even the same WoW install at first.

This kind of points to a hardware issue which I'm dreading because I'm absolutely broke, there is no way in hell I'm in a position to replace anything.

With that said I got a hardware monitor and my card was running around 50C with no harsh temperature rising when the game crashed.

I've reinstalled WoW, updated sound & video drivers, checked my HDD, cleaned out dust and re-seated g/card and RAM, the only thing to do now I guess is a memory test...

I have been playing other 3d games though with no problems at all, 64 man battles in BF2142 (which is buggy as hell), I just don't get it.

The 8800 series of cards operate hot to begin with.. if you're overclocking it then it will only get hotter..

I don't know that the evga program will work with the bfg card.. it likely wont.. but you could give it a try.. what the heck..

Hmm... I have this:

BFG NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS OC 512MB PCIe 2.0

Performance
GPU	NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS
Core Clock	675MHz (vs. 650MHz standard)

...I haven't heard the fan get loud in some time (very quiet system), so I guess this could also be my problem, but I'd like to think I'd get BSODs in the process... :\ Considering it seems BFG doesn't have a similar utility as EVGA, think I'd be able to use their s/w on my BFG? Shame is this whole system isn't quite a year old yet. :(
