(Answering a comment that I deleted that was posted by a moron who can't read, but evidently can cuss..)

A) I have been a waiter, more than once. And I DO blame the waiter if they perform poorly. I realize fully that they aren't the only ones to blame, however I also know that their tip goes to the chefs too. So the kitchen doesn't get tipped either in this case. Either way, their performance determines their gratuity. As I said above. They ARE at fault. If they are doing poorly its Their responsibility to explain the situation to the customers. Its their responsibility to go to their own manager and ask for help.. Its their fault if they don't.

B) If a person is a waiter then they know from the start how much they will get paid. Not my fault they didn't choose a better profession that pays more. I refuse to be suckered into paying a high and undeserved gratuity just because they don't have the skills or desire to get a better job.

Instead of getting all pissed off and snapping out a comment, maybe you should open your eyes and read what was posted.

If you had you'd realize that we DID pay them. We also tipped them 10% (We did the math..) though we didn't realize we hadn't given her more until after we had left.

Our intent was to pay the standard 15% and then leave even though the service was extremely poor. It turned out it didn't happen that way, but it wasn't intentional.

My point stands, and I'm correct. A tip/gratuity is something people GIVE you for free. If the bill was satisfied, you don't get to complain if someone doesn't tip you to your satisfaction.

Do a good job? Get a good tip. Do a poor job? Guess what..
