Not Malygos, but cool
So we have been playing a LOT of World of Warcraft of late. I must admit I’m very much enjoying it for the most part. But we have gotten to the point where we are farming the end game content because by and large, it’s way too easy.
All that is except Malygos. We have beaten Malygos before but for whatever reason our guild can’t seem to pull it’s collective head out 9 times out of 10. Things just go wrong.
That’s fine and acceptable except they all seem to think we are going to one shot him and move on. Over confidence is our down fall, but not our only one. The real issue isn’t our guild or our game play, but rather the fucking lag!

- Mirrors Edge — Faith
Mirrors Edge for the PC is a first person action-adventure puzzle game with an extremely compelling story line and quite possibly the most frustrating game play known to man.
I want to preface my review by saying that I really, really want to like this game and it’s close to being actually good.. close, yet so far.
Over all the story line is very good. I very much enjoyed the game for the story aspect, and I do like the idea of a FPS game where the S is largely missing. The ability to interact with your environment is extremely enjoyable and is something that is almost entirely missing from any other game out there.
More over, the game has a lot of nice touches like the rats everywhere indicating the decay of society and the occasional airplane flying over at 30+ thousand feet.. but there were far more frustrating elements.

JasonWoW bullshit
The Blue Mods at the Blizzard World of Warcraft forums asked me to post about my problems so I did… again.. Note; I have posted about this numerous times, and each time it gets buried and unanswered or simply ignored. I’m sorta getting sick of it.. I mean what the hell kind of customer support is this? (None is the right answer.)
Since WotLK came out I have been getting #134 errors. I am a software engineer by trade and understand that software is complex and I am more than willing to work with them to fix this.. I just wish they would stop blaming me (and/or my computer) for it.

Code obfuscators will strip out the unnecessary characters like white space, tabs, newlines and comments. The modern flock of javascript obfuscators will also go through and replace every command and variable in the file with some random key that points to an array which then gets eval’d back out at run time. Generally speaking the code you see in an obfuscated javascript file looks like completely gobbledygook which is sorta the point.
My stance on it is simple; Don’t do it — If you ever catch me encoding or obfuscating my javascript, come kick me square in the jimmy.. I simply cannot abide by people who think they need be secretive with javascript.. And lets be completely honest here, that’s what it’s about. More

Spore is a multi-genre massively single-player online game designed by Will Wright and has drawn quite a lot of attention due to its massive scope and open ended game play. Add to that the ability of users to customize completely their .. well everything .. from the ground up and you have a very interesting sandbox game (something Will Wright is known for.)
Spore’s major concept, and the reason they call it a “massively single-player online game” is because all of the content is created by players using editors that are a cross between the “play doh fun factory” and Maya 3d modeling software. All of the editors are designed to be easy to use and powerful, as well as being as similar as possible to one another so that each lesson you learn in one part of the editor can be applied to another part. So yet another campus shooting is in the headlines. And yet again people are yelling that video games are the problem! What a complete crock of shit.. Most of these people are extremely religious and they fail to see the irony in what they are saying — but I get ahead of myself.
I myself worship regularly at the house of frag and am a semi-well adjusted person with no aspirations to murder.. I have yet to kill anyone in real life because of some voices in my head spawned by the games that I play.. I’m pretty sure if I play the DVD backwards I wont find Satan’s secret message (I think that would be giving EA or Activision too much credit..) Just as I’m pretty sure playing a game wont make me want to murder someone or confuse my sense of right and wrong.
