someone said the story was corny i think the story has corny moments but over all is pretty good if you beat the SC1 campaign. Now some people didn’t even contain facts as to why “starcraft 2 sucks..” please stop flaming i know the community is filled with douche bags ( or atleast bronze i’ve only been in bronze) basically this game is a dick to newbs. if i found you and i wish it was me i would train you and stuff so a dick move wouldn’t make you hate this game. i don’t know what to say really i really enjoy the fast paced combat. I kind of see how stuff can be countered and am training to get better. Also yes void rays are over powered in the lower leagues if you don’t pull some diamond moves you die. still once again i don’t know what to say but lets have peace, i hate flame wars >__>) i have a feeling that this was invain and i’m gonna get horribly insulted but ya know what since i love you guys i posted anyway ;D

I absolutely agree with you Jason the only thing i disagree with is saying the game is unbalanced. everything else i have found after 150 games to be absolutely true, which is sad cus sc2 is a great game*(well i’m in love with fast combat and repetition) which is why i think its great and enjoy i guess… i don’t wanna be a douche? was i a douche..

Im not trollig just stating the truth for alot of you blind people out there, most players in whatever game you take as in a example are quite bad and do stuff without really knowing why and never ask them self the question why. These people always have an opinion and always want to judge things, and it fail about every time. Cuz .. youre simply not good enough to judge

Quake one, starcraft, warcraft, civilization 3-5 online … people think they are good but they aint, there are only a few diamonds out there in the world and a few more who understand their limits and that they are actually not that great and barley good enough to judge and have good oppinions about the game

But as long as you enjoy the game .. who cares, just spare me your opinion about the balance in diffrent games youre so far away from understanding

It is sad but I think that the age where you simply logged on a game to play and have fun is dead. Corporations and games developers have found they can keep gamers on their games for far longer and cheaper if they inflate their ego’s through shiny items and ladder competitions.

Good luck trying to do that kind of thing on CSS, I think the best games are the ones where even with nothing more than a pistol you can take down several opponents at once.

The kind of games like Starcraft 2 are nothing more than rock/paper/scissors online and in the end can only have one definite outcome as opposed to everything being up to the player.

All races are good at different things, therefore some strategies are better against certain races – but that’s what happens when you have 3 completely distinct races in a game.

If you and a partner zerg expanded to every base and mined them all out and a 2 base terran still won – you’re doing it wrong and tossing units at him, or he’s way better than you. Most likely it was the latter. Fair enough, you don’t like to lose – no one does, but you’re likely to come across people way better than you at games on the nebulous internets. Get used to it. If you want to win, get better – if you don’t care enough to get better at the game, don’t complain when you lose. You say you like CoH – personally I think it takes less multitasking and skill to play (mainly because there’s less economy to manage), but I’ve only played it once so I fully admit my statement isn’t backed by any knowledge – a similarity to your comments above. That aside, if I played you and lost in a big way in CoH, does that suddenly make the side I played unbalanced? Or is it just likely you’re much better than me?

Also since the beta the ladder matchmaking system has gotten a lot better and you’d likely be playing people of your skill level after a few placement games.

As far as people – yes, some people are dicks – that comes with any popularized game, but a lot of people are great people. It doesn’t sound like you played too many games, so I doubt you can refute this statement with any degree of accuracy.

Anyways, that’s the end of my rant – as a software developer I just resent it when people judge what a product is going to be like when it comes out during the beta. It’s a beta for a reason – you want to iron things out. Also I love SC2 and I feel you didn’t give it a fair try. I’m also trying to get into CoH cause I have a few friends who love it though – so I may have to change my comment about it above after I’ve played more.

I like Blizzard, I just don’t like Starcraft.

God forbid that you put a little bit of work into something to be good at it. I have no idea how you guys even get through everyday life with this mindset.
